Springquip started in 1985 as a small, family-run operation in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. Back then, we were known as Rhodesian Spring Manufacturers, focusing on producing basic springs for local industries. With just a handful of employees and a passion for getting things right, we worked hard to build a reputation for reliability and quality.

As demand grew, so did we. Over the years, we expanded our capabilities, adding more advanced machinery and increasing our team. We didn’t change our values, though—customer satisfaction and quality have always been at the heart of what we do. The name Springquip came later, reflecting our broader focus and growing customer base across South Africa.

Today, we’re still a family business, and while we’ve modernized our processes, our commitment to personal service and top-notch craftsmanship remains the same. We’ve built long-lasting relationships with clients in industries ranging from automotive to agriculture, and we’re proud of the role we play in helping them get the springs and wireforms they need.
